I will overwhelm 'credible combatant' Paul - Anthony Joshua
The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-bout match which will be shown live on the streaming platform.
British boxer Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" the American and "break" his opponent as the two fighters came face-to-face to publicize next month's boxing match.
Former two-time unified title holder Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami's venue on 19 December.
Fighter's Attitude
"I'm going to damage his features and hurt his body. My goal is to show my superiority," Joshua, 35, declared.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I'm going to genuinely try to hurt him. That's my intention."
Civil Interaction
In spite of such comments, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally famous for his theatrics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul instead criticized ex Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "not serious" after Ngannou rejected a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, targeted UK rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a large bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer stated.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Opponent
Despite stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he stated.
Paul's History
Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has primarily fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.
He was defeated by Briton Fury in last year.
Financial Success
However, the relative newcomer is still one of boxing's largest financial successes, consistently making massive paydays.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28 year old forecast a knockout win in round four or five and claimed he would prevent the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly in the works for two years from now.
"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.
Physical Disparity
As the two fighters met for the customary stare-down, with their size difference on show, it emphasized just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is truly proceeding.
